Creating Communities - Creating Connections: Saturday 3rd July 2010
This is a Gloucestershire Area Quaker Meeting event.
Gloucestershire Area Meeting is holding a Woodbrooke on the Road event on “Creating Communities - Creating Connections” at Gloucester Friends Meeting House on Saturday 3rd July, 10am - 4pm.
A key part of the Quaker Way is the collective and community dimension of our faith and practice. What helps to make a community, what nourishes it, and what helps if things go wrong? In our outreach, how do we explain the commitment to this way? The event will be a chance to explore these and other questions with Friends throughout the Area Meeting, drawing on our own experiences, learning from each other, and discovering new opportunities for growth and engagement.
The facilitator is Lizz Roe, an experienced tutor at Woodbrooke who co-clerked Yearly Meeting Gathering of the same name last year, and helped to write the learning materials.
The cost for the day is £10, and it is necessary to book. The booking form is available below as a PDF, and paper copies are also available at Meeting Houses thoughout Gloucestershire. For further information, or to book, please contact Alison Crane.
