Room Hire: Information for Hirers

Our lettings policy is non-discriminatory and reflects “our desire that our Meeting Houses be more widely used for the benefit of the communities in which they stand”. [Quaker Faith and Practice 13.35].

We are proud to be a ‘Sanctuary Meeting’ and encourage a culture of welcome. Organisations working for racial justice are particularly encouraged to use the premises.

Refugee and multicultural groups will normally get a discount of 100%.

Advantages of the Meeting House

Good location in central Cheltenham (near Holy Trinity church)

Accessibility - Wheelchair access and disabled toilets. Hearing loop in main meeting room

Internet - Free Wi-Fi. Screen and equipment for hybrid meetings using zoom in main meeting room

Transport - Three on site car parking spaces, car parks within two minutes walk, central bus stops nearby, secure bike racks

Outside space - secure, attractive walled garden with patio and benches

Kitchen - well equipped fitted kitchen with range cooker microwave and fridge. There is an additional charge of £15 for using the cooker, but otherwise use of the kitchen for refreshments is included in the booking charge.

Main Meeting Room

7.7m x 7.7m, 59.2 m2, Seating capacity for 60 people

Suitable for talks, public meetings, yoga or similar groups. This room has audio-visual equipment for presentations and hybrid meetings. It also has a hearing loop hearing loop and a piano along with an opening roof light and sliding glass doors onto the rear garden.

Sorry, we cannot allow refreshments in this room.

Tea Room

4.6m x 6.7m, 30.8 m2, Seating capacity for 30 people

Suitable for smaller meetings and workshops with a dropdown screen for presentations and sliding glass doors on to the garden. Serving hatch to kitchen.

There are no restrictions on refreshments in this room
